Demon's Souls for PS3

I've been playing a new game recently. It's called Demon's Souls and it is amazing, the game play, graphics, story and multi-player all have been crafted expertly. I picked this up on Saturday October 10th as it was just released on October 6th and I've already put around 30 hours into the game. One of the things that makes this game so good is the classic feel it is very challenging to advance in the game.

So far I've got a level 25 knight and I can honestly say I haven't had this much fun playing an RPG since I played Suikoden and Final Fantasy 7 on the original Playstation. This game has everything that I love about a good RPG and more. If you haven't seen or played this game yet and are into Action RPG's or RPG's at all I highly recommend this. I give it a full 10 out of 10.

If you want to see some game play and get more information on it check out the video review here over at Gamespot.

I also just picked up the Fallout 3: Game of the year edition which includes all of the previously released downloadable content as well as the original game. I'll probably shelve this until I've got my fill of Demon's Souls which doesn't look to be anytime soon.

New Astro City Stick Complete!

I've finally got some time today to post up the pictures of my most recent completed Arcade Stick project. I am extremely excited with the look, feel and play of the stick. My friend VMS from http://forums.shoryuken.com helped me out with the design of the artwork, he specializes in replication of Japanese style arcade cabinet art.

I went with the Astro City design but had VMS put his own personal flare on it to make it a bit more creative. I chose to go with Green as my underlying color. I was able to finish this thing just about 30 minutes before my first ever EVO Street Fighter 4 match but I'll go into that more later. For now here are some pictures of the completed project!

Hardware Used in my stick:

Joystick: Sanwa JLF - Octagonal Gate - Green Balltop
Buttons: Sanwa OBSN-30 - Green Pushbutton
PCB: Toodles Cthulu pc/ps3 board with USB interface.

My next goal is to make a twin of this guy except black with pink buttons! Then I'll have matching sticks for head to head battle on any flavor of Street Fighter. Stay tuned for more completed stick building projects.

Pork Fried Rice w/ Pineapple

Last night I made a big batch of Pork Fried Rice with Pineapple so today I decided to post my pictures and recipe over at http://goonswithspoons.com the Something Awful Forums Goon run cooking Wiki. This is my first recipe I've contributed to the site but I plan on adding more of my favorite recipes soon.

My recipe is posted here http://goonswithspoons.com/Pork_Fried_Rice_w/_Pineapple_by_Trexid

It turned out really good! I made a few tweaks to the recipe after making it last night which should improve the taste a bit.

I've just gotten into cooking and love trying out new recipes.

Astro City Stick in the Works

So I'm very close to finishing my newest Arcade Stick Project. I've decided to go with a classic 1993 Japanese layout and artwork know as 'Astro City'. It uses retro neon colors like green, pink, and yellow in the theme.

So far I've completed the case and I am currently working on a new original design for the control panel which will hide the wiring underneath the wood paneling of the stick.

I've already got all of my electronics parts and hardware and I am now in the final finishing stages of the stick. I anticipate that the longest part of the project will be the custom redesign of the artwork as I am terrible with Photo shop and Illustrator.

Below is a picture of a person who's completed a similar modification of what looks to be a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 stick.

I'll definitely post pictures of the finished product once I'm all set. My deadline is July 16th as thats when I will be traveling out to Las Vegas for Evo2k9 - Street Fighter 4 Tournament.

New Blog!

Hi there,

You've found my new Blog. Welcome. I figured that I should start a new one as my last one used WordPress which is much more robust than this but I figure @ blogger.com I can spend more time actually blogging and less time working on the site / themes and fuss.

This is basically a place where I can publish things that I am working, interested or doing currently so that I can easily share with friends. If you find anything on here information or helpful let me know by shooting me an email or posting a comment. All are welcome.

Best Regards,

-Josh
